Matrix
Matrix is an open source protocol for interoperable, decentralized, real-time communication. There is an effort to move communications to Matrix as the primary mode of communication, although this has not yet been ratified by the appropriate governance boards. Stay tuned.

Telegram
Telegram is a popular cross-platform cloud-based instant messaging service. Though it supports encryption and has an open source client, the server code is proprietary. The following channels are bridged to the IRC channels above with lubot, our Matterbridge instance. Note that we are aware that not all of these links are working – we are working to fix this however it is not a “quick fix”, so be patient while we update these links to make them work again.
